[It's been about a week since Applejack has gone home, and Pinkie Pie has finally decided to show her face again. She's looking a bit different than she normally does, however. Her iconic cotton candy mane has fallen limp, lifeless, swaying hopelessly in the breeze as she shuffles aimlessly around the village.

She can't begin to process the idea that her friends aren't coming back. They didn't find a way home. Someone sent them away from her. And worse, if they do find a way back, they won't even remember being here in the first place. The surprise parties, the adventures, none of it mattered because no one who leaves will ever even know it happened. If that's true, then what's the point of doing anything at all?

She sighs to herself, staring down at her hooves.]

My friends aren't coming back from Ponyville. I was hoping I'd see them again, soon.

[Ah. Suddenly, Grune can understand all too well the reason for Pinkie's unhappiness. To one who treasures her friends so highly, the separation must be incredibly difficult to bear.]

You must have patience, my dear. Though I know you must miss your friends deeply, try to remember that one day, they may return--or you may return to your home to be reunited with them all. It simply will take time.

But waiting is so hard, and if they come back, they won't remember anything that happened here. If I go home, I won't remember, either, and I want to remember everything and everypony in Luceti.

That is not necessarily true. One of my housemates left Luceti not long after I arrived here. When he returned, he was in full possession of his memories.

[That is a point easily addressed. As for the rest....] Perhaps one day we will learn to restore the memories the Malnosso take from us. You must not give up hope.
